Super Falcons Defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has made a revelation on her choice of club following her departure From Leicester City Women's team.

The 25 years old left Leicester City Following the expiration of her contract with the English Club. The News of her Departure from Leicester City was announced by the club in a statement released on the 13th of July, 2023, just days before the start of the World Cup.

Ashleigh Plumptre represented the Super Falcons of Nigeria at the World Cup and gave a performance that caught the eyes of so many as Nigeria progressed to the round of 16 of the tournament before being knocked out by eventual Silver medalists, England. 

The Left-footed defender who many are still expecting to secure a big move soon seems to have gotten her next choice of club sorted out as revealed in an interview with channels tv (via allnigeriasoccer).


Ashleigh Plumptre when asked about her next Club said:

 "Funnily enough my dad is my agent so he has to deal with all that sort of stuff.

"I'll go back in the next week or so to say bye to everybody but nothing's been released yet about my next club.

"I wanted to not have a distraction while I was in the World Cup. I wanted my full focus on that but in the coming weeks it will be released.


"I'm really excited I've chosen somewhere that has to align with who I am as a person. I have to know about what the values are of the environment and of the people I'm playing for. I can't say yet but I'm looking forward to a new challenge."

Ashleigh Plumptre Leaves Leicester City after featuring in numerous Games for the English Side, winning the FA Women's during the 2020/2021 season.
