Former Super Eagles Player, Daniel Amokachi has pleaded with Nigerians to Forgive Yakubu Aiyegbeni after his Mind-blowing Miss against South Korea at the 2010 World Cup.

Yakubu Aiyegbeni is a household name in Nigerian Football and Mostly remembered for his Sickening Miss at the 2010 World cup clash against South Korea in a group stage game. Many Believes Yakubu's Miss Caused Nigeria a place in the Knock out Stages. The Prolific Goal scorer has been Subject to Mockery Since that day on.




Although he has since come out to Apologize but Some Nigerian Football Faithfuls are still Bitter by that Miss which is also Considered as one of the Greatest Miss in World Football.

While Speaking on Sports radio, Brila FM, Legendary Nigerian Player, Daniel "The Bull" Amokachi wants Yakubu to be forgiven so as to enable the 37 years old enjoy his retirement stating that it could have happened to anyone.




“It is not new in football. I have missed a good goal opportunity before. Great players across the world had messed up in front of goalkeepers. We need to forgive him so that he can enjoy his retirement." Amokachi said on Brila FM.

Irrespective of how bad the Miss could be, it doesn't take anything away from Aiyegbeni who remains Nigeria's Highest Goal scorer in the English Premier League with 95 goals. The closest to that Figure is 54 goals by retired Legend, Nwankwo Kanu who is the second player with the Most Goals in the English Premier League.
