The annual best African Player in Ligue 1 awards popularly Known as Prix Marc-Vivien Foé is set to hold again this year with Nigeria's Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon Among the Nominees.

The Prix Marc-Vivien Foé is an award given to the best African in Ligue 1 after each season . The Award is in honor of late Marc-Vivien Foé, a Cameroonian who represented Lens and Lyon in the Ligue 1.




The Award Initially Kicked off in 2009 with Moroccan Maurouane Chamakh winning the Maiden Edition for his Exploits with Bordeaux that Season.

The Only Nigerian to have won the award is Former Super Eagles Captain and Goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama while Playing for Lille in 2014. Arsenal's Aubameyang and Osimhen's Predecessor,Nicolas Pepe also won the award During their time in France.




This Year, Moses Simon and Victor Osimhen are in Line to become the second Nigerian to clinch the award. Osimhen Recorded a total 13 goals in 5 assists in 27 appearances for Lille this season.

Moses simon had 5 goals and 5 assists for Nantes in the League this season with 26 appearances. This stats were enough to win him Nantes Best Player of the season for 2019/20.




Victor Osimhen is Looking Most Likely to Clinch the prestigious award having Narrowly Missed out on two Ligue 1 records this season.
