Ahead of the Much Anticipated, AFCON tournament which is set to kick off in January 2022, the Governing Body of World Football, FIFA has confirmed a Switch of Nationality for former England's Defender, Steve Caulker.

Steve Caulker, 29 Years of Age has Officially Joined the league of Players to switch Nationality from England to a different Country after a non-Guranteed playing time with the three Lions of England.

The Former Liverpool and Tottenham star who has only featured once for the English National team has decided to switch Nationality to Sierra Leone as Confirmed by FIFA ahead of the Prestigious AFCON tournament.

The Gaziantep of Turkey Super Lig Defender has his Roots traced to Sierra Leone through his Grandfather; although his grandmother, a Scottish. 

Steve Caulker has a Cap for England at the senior Level with a Goal to his Name, although he has featured severally for the English team Across the U-19 and U-21 levels.

Sierra Leonean FA President, Thomas Daddy Brima confirmed the switch Via BBB sports Africa

"I can confirm that the player's status chamber of Fifa has just cleared Caulker to represent Sierra Leone." he Said. 

Despite his switch of Nationality, Steve Caulker still awaits an official call up by Head Coach of the African side, John Keister before traveling with the team to the African Cup Of Nations which starts in January 9, 2022. 

Sierra Leone has been drawn in group E of the AFCON tournament alongside, Equitorial Guinea, Algeria and Cote D'Ivoire.
