English Premier League club, Aston Villa has Announced the signing of Former Liverpool Man, Steven Gerard as head coach of the club.

Gerard Joins from Scottish Club, Rangers. The English Gaffer Spent 2 and a half years in Rangers where he enjoyed a successful spell, winning the 2020/2021 Scottish league.

Following the Sacking of Dean Smith as Aston Villa's head coach, the club turned their attention to Steven Gerard and They've Announced him as the New head Coach of the English Team. 

Reacting to his new managerial role Gerard said (Via Aston Villa Official website):

 “Aston Villa is a club with a rich history and tradition in English football and I am immensely proud to become its new Head Coach.

“In my conversations with Nassef, Wes and the rest of the Board, it was apparent how ambitious their plans are for the club and I am looking forward to helping them achieve their aims.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everybody associated with Glasgow Rangers for giving me the opportunity to manage such an iconic football club. Helping them secure a record-breaking 55th league title will always hold a special place in my heart. I would like to wish the players, staff and supporters the very best for the future.”


Aston Villa are currently Occupying 16th Position on the league table, just 2 points above the relegation Zone.
