Sparta Rotterdam who signed the Goalie in July 2020 has confirmed via their Official Website that a deal between the two clubs has been met and the Player will Join the Hornets.

Sparta Rotterdam has reached an agreement with Watford about the transfer of Maduka Okoye. The Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper still had a contract at Het Kasteel until 2025, but will not serve it out.

“We took over Maduka Okoye transfer-free from Fortuna Dusseldorf in the summer of 2020 and his development was stormy. It soon became apparent that Maduka was going to become the undisputed number 1 of Sparta and also of the Nigerian national team. Last summer we broke his contract until 2025, but both parties knew that an early departure would be very real.” Henk Van stee said

The Agreed fee for the Transfer Of Maduka Okoye is yet to be disclosed by the Club's technical Director.
