Roma Striker, Tammy Abraham has revealed how he was convinced by Jose Mourinho to Join the Italian Club.

Tammy Abraham Joined Roma during the Summer Transfer Window of 2021 for a fee reported to be €40m. The England National team Striker signed a 5-Year deal with the Club.

Tammy Abraham, a product of Chelsea's Academy spent 17 Years with the Club, featuring at Different age Categories Before making his senior professional Debut for the team in 2016 under Former Manager, Guus Hiddink.

The Striker made 82 Appearances for Chelsea's Senior team, scoring 30 goals and Registering 12 assists.

It became glaring that Tammy Abraham needed a move out of Chelsea After Falling behind in the pecking order for Strikers Selection following the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea's Manager.

Reacting to his Departure to Italy, Abraham reveals how he got the Conviction to sign for Roma

"I feel like it was home, being around London, being around England. It was home," said Abraham. (via Metro)

"I think I had to open my wings a bit and make a choice and I chose Italy and would not change it."

"I had different options,’ said Abraham, 

"There were so many clubs I was speaking to at the time. Italy came and I spoke to Jose. He had a goal."

"I could see where he wanted Roma to go and see where he wants to take them and I wanted to be part of the process. He really put his trust in me so he was a big impact on the reason why I chose Roma."

"The first thing he said to me was when I picked up the phone he was like “do you want to enjoy some sun or stay in the rain?” I laughed."

"I think the easy option would’ve been to stick around and sit down,’ the striker added."

"Chelsea’s a massive club, they will compete and try to win trophies so the easy option would’ve been to do that."

"I realised that I needed to go out and prove myself, I needed to play some games. I took a decision and it was the right one."

Since Signing for Roma this season, Abraham has made 7 Goals Contributions in 10 games across all Competitions, scoring 4 Goals and 3 Assists.
