Head Coach of PSG, Mauricio Pochettino has explained his decision to take off Lionel Messi at half time in the game against Lille.

PSG took on Lille at the Parc De Princes in the First game of Matchweek 12. The Parisiens won the Game 2-1 after suffering an early scare Which saw them go Behind with a goal down before half time.

Mauricio Pochettino fielded a Star studded squad despite the Unavailability of French Youngster Kylian Mbappe. PSG played a Front-three line of Messi, Neymar and Di Maria. 

Argentine Maestro, Lionel Messi wasn't at the Best in the game, the 34 Years old recorded a poor performance before being Substituted at halftime by Pochettino who explained that the player is suffering from a discomfort.

"We spoke with the doctor. It’s a precaution. He couldn't go on, but it's not a big issue. He will be available for the next game."

Lionel Messi's wait for his First Ligue 1 Goal still Continues. The player has gone 5 games in the league without recording a goal or an assist.


South American duo of Marquinhos and Angel Di came to PSG's Rescue scoring 2 second half goals to ensure that the home side snatch Maximum Points and extend their lead at the top of the table.
