Former Chelsea Attacker, Ike Ugbo has decided to switch allegiance from the English National team to the Nigerian National team.
The 21 Years old attacker has made his decision to represent Nigeria over England despite featuring for the Young Three Lion Squad across different levels.
Ike Ugbo has played for the England U-17 and U-20 National team from 2014 to 2017. The Youngster was Born in Lewisham, England and he is of a Nigerian Descent.
In Making his decision of Representing Nigeria Over England at the Senior Level, the Youngster made it clear that he has More chances with the Nigerian National team than the English National team.
“I choose Nigeria,” the striker told Sport Voetbal Magazine.
“We are currently preparing the papers.
“The upcoming World Cup qualifiers will play its part in this (decision).
“I think I have more chances with Nigeria than with England."
“I also grew up with images of the national team and always followed their strikers, especially the boys who came to England.”
Ike Ugbo will Now Join the Likes of Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Victor Moses and many other Super Eagles Players (Past and Present) who decided to Represent Nigeria at senior international Competitions over England.
Ike Ugbo currently Plays for Genk in the Belgian top-flight League, signing from Chelsea Football Club this Season. The Player is a Product of Chelsea's Football Academy and has Enjoyed Series of Loan away from Stamford Bridge over the Years before Permanently sealing a deal Away from Chelsea.
Ike Ugbo was part of the players Sold by Chelsea this season joining the Likes of Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.
