VIDEO:Taiwo Awoniyi Scores an Early Goal of the Season Contender

Nigerian Striker, Taiwo Awoniyi was on Target against Bayer Leverkusen in Matchday 1 of the German Bundesliga.

The Striker was recently signed permanently from Liverpool, Making a return to Union Berlin, the team where he spent the whole of the 2020/21 season. 

Taiwo Awoniyi was named in the Starting Line Up by Head Coach Urs Fischer and it only took the Striker 7 minutes to announce his return to the German Bundesliga, scoring what looks to be an early contender for goal of the Season. 

The Striker received the ball from Legendary team mate Max Kruse after a Swift Counter attack. The striker worked the ball into space and carefully picked up his spot, firing the ball into the back of the net, leaving Goalkeeper Hradecky with no chance.

The match Ended 1 - 1.
