Arsenal Football Club kicked off their Season preparations with a Match against Scottish team, Hibernian.

Arsenal went into the game as clear favourites to win the tie, but things didn't work out as Planned for under-fire Boss, Mikel Arteta. 

Gabonese striker, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was the Captain of the Night in the game played at Edinburgh in Scotland.

Hibernian took an Early lead courtesy of a goal from Martin Boyle in the 21st Minute.

Young Nigerian Goalkeeper, Authur Okonkwo was in between the sticks for the Gunners in the First half and made a great save in the 37th minutes to deny Hibernian from doubling their lead with a Long range strike. Authur Okonkwo who is only 19 Years of Age signed his senior professional contract with Arsenal recently but his Error in the 21st Minute proved costly for the Gunners. 



Arthur appeared to be avoiding using his hands to Catch a back pass and decided to kick the ball away from danger but missed the ball entirely and was immediately punished by the Hibernian striker who got the ball on a Platter of Gold.

In the Game which saw a mixture of both old and Young players, Arsenal feeded a total of 21 Players in the Entire game, taking off their entire team in the first half except for Pablo Mari who went on the play the entire game.

At the start of the Second half, Arsenal continued to push for an Equaizer but rather it was Hibernian who were able to add a second goal in the 69th Minute.


The Visitors continued to push for a come back and got their goal courtesy of a 82nd minute strike from Youngster, Emile Smith Rowe.

The game ended 2-1 in Favour of Hibernian. 

Another Nigerian in Action was 20 years old Academy player, Folarin Balogun who played the entire second 45 minutes.
