Napoli's hope of securing a Place in Europe next season seems to be Fading out following their most recent defeat against 3rd placed Atalanta.


Currently sitting at 6th position and occupying the last spot for Europa league qualification,Gennaro Gattuso's men were condemned to a 2-nil defeat at the hands of Atalanta who were more clinical in front of goal despite only making 6 attempts. Napoli had the most attempts on goal (15) but none could be converted. 




A player and a Proven goal scorer like Osimhen might Just be what is needed to put an end to Napoli's striking woes. The Italian Side Parades 3 center Forwards this season and except for Arkadiusz Milik (10 goals, 19 Apps) none has been able to impress despite having enough Playing time. The duo of  Dries Mertens (7 goals, 24 apps) and Fernando Llorente (3 goals, 17 apps)  have not been so clinical in front of goal and is a Major cause of worries for Head Coach, Gennaro Gattusso.

The club are currently in Negotiations with Victor Osimhen who recorded 13 goals in 27 Appearances for Lille this Season. The deal is reportedly to be completed around €80m for the 21 years old who was recently named the Best African Player in France.

Before Moving to Lille in 2019, Victor Osimhen left a Mark in his first and only season with Belgian club side, Sporting Chaleroi, scoring 20 goals and setting up 5 others in 36 appearances for the club.





To make things lot easier for Napoli, Victor Osimhen's Agent has confirmed that the 2015 U-17 world cup and Golden boot winner wants a move to Napoli due to his love and admiration for the club. Napoli is expected to seal a deal for the young Nigerian in the Coming days.
