Ex-super Eagles Striker, Odion Ighalo has hinted on a possible return to the National team after retiring following Nigeria's AFCON 2019 3rd Place finish.

While speaking with Brila FM directly from his base in England, the 30 years old admitted that he is still thinking of a possible return to the National team. According to Ighalo, he decided to resign due to the Distance between China and Nigeria where he normally comes from while playing for Parent club, Shanghai Shenhua. 



It was widely Believed that the forward retired due to negative Comments and criticism he received After the 2019 AFCON.

“I am still in contact with Gernot Rohr and Amaju Pinnick, and they congratulated me on my loan deal.” Ighalo told Brila.



 “I am still thinking about returning to the national team, but right now I want to concentrate on my club career. I left the national team because of the distance between Nigeria and China, but now that I am in Manchester and just like life and in my career, you never can tell”, He added.

Ighalo recently signed a new contract with his Childhood Dream club, Manchester United, extending his Loan stay with the Red Devils Until January 2021.
