The Much anticipated top of the table clash between Enugu Rangers and Enyimba FC at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu came to an unexpected end as fans of both teams clash in the Stadium.

League Leaders Enugu rangers (61 points) welcomed 2nd place Enyimba FC (59 points)to their home in a must win game for both teams who are hoping to clinch the League title.

The first half of the encounter was an eventful one as both teams had the opportunity to take the lead but none was able to hit the target. It ended in a goalless draw after 45 minutes.

The second half commenced in the Stadium which was filled with spectators but unfortunately in the closing stages of the second half, the game was abandoned due to the invasion of the stadium by fans of the away team who were not pleased over the awarding of the home team, Enugu rangers, a Penalty.

There was chaos in the Stadium which led to the game coming to an abrupt close
