The Super Eagles of Nigeria have booked their Place in the Quarter Finals of the Ongoing AFCON 2023 tournament after defeating Cameroon in the Round of 16.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon went head to head in what was expected to be a Fierce Contest as both teams aspire the secure the second Quarter Final slot available.

Nigeria Drew First blood in the First Half through Ademola Lookman who was Beautifully Set up by the resilient Victor Osimhen who did a great job in winning Possession and setting up his Country Man. Ademola Lookman Latched on to the Pass from Osimhen and Shot on Goal. The Attacker Managed to aim for the back of the net with the help you the Cameroonian Goalkeeper whose touch on the ball could only help but direct it in the net.
The Super Eagles has early in the First Half had a Goal from Semi Ajayi disallowed for Offside by VAR.

Nigeria Never Looked like Slowing down and Got the Second Goal in the Closing Stages of the second half through the Same Man, Ademola Lookman. This time, a couple of Beautifully exchanged Passes from Iwobi and Calvin Bassey was all the Super Eagles needed to open up the Cameroonian Defense which Never looked Convincing all game. 

Calvin Bassey's Low cross found Lookman and the Atalanta only Man needed a simple touch to direct the Ball on Goal.

The Game ended 2-0 in Favour of Nigeria who would now Face the Angolan National team on the 2nd of February, 2024.
