The Nigerian National Football team set New Records after Dominating at the 2023 CAF Awards. 

Nigeria Trio of Asisat Oshoala, Victor Osimhen and Chiamaka Nnadozie won Big at the CAF Awards 2023. 
Asisat Oshoala won the CAF Women's Player of the Year Award for the Sixth time, Victor Osimhen won the CAF Men's Player of the Year while Chiamaka Nnadozie won CAF Women's Goalkeeper of the Year. 

Victor Osimhen's CAF Player of the Year triumph was Nigeria's first in 24 years Since 1999 when the Legendary Kanu Nwankwo Last won the Award for the country. 
With Victor Osimhen winning the award, Nigeria now equals Cote d'Ivoire as  the country with the most CAF Player of the Year winners (6).

Also, with Asisat Oshoala and Victor Osimhen Winning the CAF Men's and Women's Player of the Year, Nigeria Becomes the first Country to have both Reigning CAF Men's and Women's Player of the year from the Same Country.
