Nigeria Super Falcons Faced off with Canada in the Opening Encounter of Group B World Cup game in a Fierce Encounter which Ended with no Goal for both sides. 

In the First Half of the game it was the North American Side who were dominant at the opening stages. Both teams had a fair share of Chances but none could find the Back of the Net as the first 45 minutes ended Scoreless. 

The First Chance of the Game fell to Canadian Captain, Sinclair in the 8th Minute who shot from Just outside the box but saw her shot sail wide of Chiamaka Nnadozie's Goal Post. 

Nigeria's First and Best chance of the second half was a shot on target From just outside the box which was well parried by Canada's Shot stopper for a Corner Kick. 

Nigeria had another Opportunity in the First Half as Midfielder Abiodun's well taken shot flew over the Bar. Asisat Oshoala Also headed wide from a Corner Kick in the 45th Minute of the Game.

The Second half began with a scare for the Super Falcons as a Penalty was awarded to Canada. Christine Sinclair the Canadian Shotstopper stood over the Ball but saw her shot well saved by Chiamaka Nnadozie.


The Super Falcons were reduced to 10-men in the Closing Stages of the Game as Midfielder, Abiodun was given her Marching Orders for a reckless Challenge. 

The Match Ended Scoreless. 

Canada Saw a lot of the ball but Nigeria's Solid Defence was able to prevent them from Causing Havoc.
