Italian Journalist, Mario Sconcerti has laid blames on Super Eagles Star, Victor Osimhen over Napoli's Failure to clinch the Scudetto Last Season despite being in Pole position on the League Table for a couple of weeks.

Napoli Lost the league to AC Milan and Fell behind Inter Milan In second position and the Aforementioned Journalist believes a couple of reasons were involved for the team's Failure to go all the way to win the 2021/2022 Serie A title.

The Journalist believes that Victor Osimhen's Predicament at one point of the season and the African Cup of Nations were the main reasons for Napoli's Regression in the League Last Season.

It could be recalled that victor Osimhen was out for about 57 days during the 2021/2022 season after a clash of heads with Inter Milan's Skriniar in a  league game at the Giussepe Meazza.

The Horrific Injury left the attacker needing a facial surgery.

Apart from the Devastating Injury that affected Victor Osimhen, the Attacker was also Isolated for a period of time due to the Covid-19 Virus.

Napoli Also Lost a couple of Players including Rock-Solid Defender, Kalidou Koulibaly who went out on National duties at the African Cup of Nations Held in January, 2022.

Napoli's Sporting Director, Aurelio de Laurentis who is obviously counting his loss as a result of the Clashing date of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Which saw some of his first team players leaving the team to represent their countries has now come out to say the henceforth, Napoli would not sign any African player unless the player agrees not to partake in Africa Cup of Nation.

Journalist, Mario Sconcerti who obviously supports Napoli's Director's Decision on African Player has Now Come out to issue blames on Victor Osimhen and the African Tournament for Napoli's Failure to push on for the League title.

“The coach is not the Napoli problem (last season),” Sconcerti told Radio Kiss Kiss via Tutto Napoli.

“The problems were Osimhen and his injury and the African Cup.

“(Napoli owner Aurelio) De Laurentiis is right. He has been criticised for racism, but this is not the case. It is not a problem of skin colour but of calendars.”

Osimhen Who returned from Injury in a league Game against Bologna after spending 57 days on the Sideline still finished as Napoli's top Scorer in the League with 14 goals from 27 Games.
