Amid interest from several Clubs Across Europe, Ex Super Eagles Players, Sunday Oliseh and Dosu Joseph have advised Napoli's Striker Victor Osimhen Against leaving his club.

Osimhen have been Linked with a couple of clubs across Europe with Arsenal and Tottenham Once having the player on their radar. The Two London Clubs may have moved on with the signing of Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison but a Move for the Player cannot be ruled off Entirely.

Victor Osimhen have Also Emerged as a Candidate for German Bundesliga side, Bayern Munich as the departure of Star Striker, Robert Lewandowski remains imminent. 


The Duo of Super Eagles Footballers turned pundits, Joseph Dosu and Sunday Oliseh have spoken with one voice against a Move to Bayern Munich for Victor Osimhen. The pair Gave their Candid opinion while discussing during a Program with The PUNCH

Dosu in his Opinion feels the player should stay back at Napoli, Play in the UEFA Champions League and get Better.

“Osimhen’s one of my favourite Eagles players at the moment,” Dosu told PUNCH Sports Extra.

“He’s sacrificed himself a lot during games. The shift he puts in makes me his huge fan. I’m sure he will be going nowhere. I feel he should stay at Napoli for another season play in the UEFA Champions League and get better.

Sunday Oliseh was Also of Similar Opinion as he feels Osimhen should stay back at Napoli while also stating that with a continuous Progress and Improvement Osimhen can Outshine the Legacy of Legendary Cameroon Striker, Samuel Eto'o.

“He (Osimhen) has all the qualities to excel at the club so I think he should stay,” Oliseh told the Punch.

“I’m happy to see him now finally doing his thing, he can be better than Samuel Eto’o if he keeps up with his scoring form.

“One thing is certain, should any team get (Victor) Osimhen, they will move strikingly up to another level.”

While Oliseh and Dosu might be of the Opinion that Osimhen Should remain at Napoli, Former Head Coach of the super Eagles, Gernot Rohr believes that the Player has all it takes to excel at Bayern and replace the Outgoing Robert Lewandowski. 

"If Bayern let Robert Lewandowski go, Victor would be a good alternative,” Rohr told Sport Bild earlier in July.

“I think he would prevail in Munich. Since he already has experience in the Bundesliga and speaks a little German, his adjustment period is of course shorter than with other players from abroad.”

Sunday Oliseh is no stranger to giving his Opinion on Football matters especially as it relates to Nigerian Players. The Former Ajax and Dortmund Midfielder has once Come Under fire for Underrating the Midfield Capabilities of John Obi Mikel as he Believes Wilfred Ndidi would do better Offensively than Mikel. Well, Mikel Obi in his Response displayed Calmness despite the Demeaning Comment from Oliseh.
