Super Eagles Striker, Taiwo Awoniyi is set to make a Return to the City of Berlin as part of preparations for the new season When his team takes on his Former Side, Union Berlin in a Preseason Friendly.

Nottingham Forest who are newly promoted to the EPL are already making serious preparation as they hope to go against all odds and retain their Premier League status for more seasons to come.

As part of their Enforcement processes, the Team splashed out a whopping £17.5m for the signing of Nigerian Striker, Taiwo Awoniyi From German Bundesliga side, Union Berlin.

The Amount paid on Taiwo Awoniyi is a Club Record Fee and Awoniy's Former Side, Liverpool had a share of £1.5m as sign on fee for the Attacker.

Taiwo Awoniyi enjoyed a great 2021/2022 Season with Union Berlin, finishing as Their top scorer in all Competitions with 20 goals and 5 assists in 43 games as well as becoming their all time League top scorer with 17 goals to overtake Max Kruse. 

Awoniyi who became fans favourite at Union Berlin would now make a Return to the club but this time in the colours of Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest and Union Berlin go Head to Head in a Preseason Friendly set to hold on the 23rd of July, 2022.

The game between Union Berlin and Nottingham Forest would be the last of the preseason for Forest as they are Also expected to take on Coventry City, Burton Albion, Barnsley and Hertha Berlin.
