English Football Pundit, Tim Sherwood has Revealed the plight of Dutch Defender, Virgil Van Dijk while at Celtic as several clubs seemingly refused to sign the player.

Van Dijk who is Unarguably one of the best Defender in tbe EPL And the World at the Moment didn't have things Easy for him at Celtic as he was judged to be nowhere near Good thereby Making clubs to look Away from his side before Southampton possibly gambled on the signing of the Huge Defender in 2015 which came out good for them. 

Van Dijk moved to Liverpool in 2018 after leaving his Mark with the saints and walked in straight into the Reds Starting XI. 

“We are looking at a guy here in Virgil van Dijk,” said Sherwood. 

“He played at Celtic. No one wanted to take him.

“Everyone was having a look, myself included because he was playing in an environment that was non-competitive. You couldn’t really judge him.

“Then he goes to Southampton. Then you think, ‘oh, we might have missed the boat here. He might be too expensive for us now’. He was proving that he could play in the Premier League.

“And Liverpool have done their homework, spoke to Jurgen Klopp, he said ‘this is the man I want’. And he has come in there with the personality which he has got. That helps. He is very humble. I think he has done absolutely brilliant.”

Since Signing for Liverpool, Virgil Van Dijk now boast of Several Individual and collective Achievements which Includes Winning the League title, UCL, UEFA Men's Player of the Year award, PFA Player of the Year amongst several others.
