Following FC Barcelona's 1-1 draw against Title Contenders, Sevilla; the Blaugranas Head Coach, Xavi Hernandez has picked the positives in his team's Impressive Performance.

Barcelona Were Held to a draw at the Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in Seville despite being the better side for a larger duration of the Encounter.

Sevilla drew First blood through Papu Gomez who struck a fine Shot in the 32nd Minute to beat Ter Stegen.

The Home team's Lead only lasted for 13 Minutes and were pegged back through a well Placed Header by Barcelona's Defender, Ronald Araujo who rose highest to Meet a Pinpoint Corner Delivery from In-form French Attacker, Ousmane Dembele.

FC Barcelona went into the Second half looking to grab all three points but were made to Battle it out with a Tight Sevilla Defense which gave a few Chances for the Blaugranas to grab all three points but the team from Barcelona were Unlucky on Different Occasions Including Striking the post late in the second half.

Sevilla were able to soak in all the pressure from FC Barcelona despite going a man down following the sending off of Defender, Jules Koundé who angrily struck Jordi Alba with a ball to the face.

Barcelona Will feel Disappointed as They were Obviously the better side and came close to grabbing all 3 Points on different occasions.

Speaking during the post Match Interview, Xavi Hernandez feels that this Current FC Barcelona team needs to keep Improving despite playing a good Game against the 2nd placed Sevilla side.

“It’s a bittersweet sensation,” Xavi said post-match in comments carried by Marca.

“I think we performed well, but obviously we have to improve. We’ve earned a point, but we have to be patient. We have to insist on this model – we’re on the right track. But it’s a shame because we had them.

“It’s difficult to take, not winning. It’s going to be hard for me to sleep. I think we should have won. Sevilla are very experienced and very good tactically, but I leave here unsatisfied. But tomorrow I’ll look back and think we played well. The performance, from the bench, I think was very good. I think this is the Barcelona people want. The results tell all, but I think we enjoyed some good moments and the team competed very well.”

FC Barcelona will now have their next Laliga game on January 2nd 2022 against Mallorca as they end the Year 2021 in 7th Position on the league table, with 2 points Away from top 4.
