Former Manchester United Midfielder, Paul Scholes has criticized the Attack line of Manchester United being led by the duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Edison Cavani.

Paul Scholes expressed his dissatisfaction and Disappointment on the the fact that the team is relying on both players who are aged 36 and 34 respectively to lead the attack.

Scholes feels that both players are not capable enough to hand United a league Glory. He tagged the situation as an Embarrassment.

Despite the win against Villareal last night Scholes is still not impressed with the team and stated clearly that none of the players deserve to play.

"He (Carrick) could’ve left every single player out tonight, not one of them deserves to be playing," he told BT Sport.

“You talk about recruitment, this is Manchester United. Our two best strikers are 36 and 34 (Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani). That’s embarrassing.

"How that has happened I'll never know. The strikers we have, you get to 30 (years old), you probably have to go.

“I never thought they’d win the league, but thought they’d be a lot better than this. A 36- and a 34-year-old? You’ve got no chance.

Ever since the Return of Ronaldo to Manchester United, the Portuguese have been involved in 10 goals and 2 Assists in 14 games this season.

Edison Cavani on the other hand hasn't Enjoyed the best of seasons, scoring just once in 8 Appearances across all Competitions.

United have booked a place for the UCL round of 16 after a 2-0 victory over Villareal. Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho were enough to hand the travelling team 3 Valuable Points.
