Upcoming EPL powerhouse, Newcastle United have reportedly made contacts over the signing of Leceister City Defender, Wesley Fofana.

Ever since the Takeover of Newcastle United by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), the club has been Linked with several top players ahead of the January Transfer Window. 

Some of the players reportedly on Newcastle's Radar includes Burnley's Defender, James Tarkwoski and Manchester United quartet of Jesse Lingard, Eric Bailly, Anthony Martial and Donny Van De Beek.

Lingard and Tarkwoski Remains two of Newcastle's top Target Ahead of the January window. Jesse Lingard who Ignored the opportunity to play for Newscastle United last season, Favouring a Loan Move to West Ham United have Emerged as a Priority Signing for the Magpies.


Amanda Staveley, a Director at Newcastle United has opened up that the club is in the Market to compete for World Class players.

New Reports from RMC sports via Leicestershire has made it clear that Newcastle have made a first contact with the Entourage of Leicester City Defender, Wesley Fofana over a possible Signing in the January Transfer Window.

The Report States that: 

"The first manoeuvres of the new Newcastle were eagerly awaited, they started around a Frenchman."

"According to our information, the Magpies have come into contact with the entourage of Wesley Fofana."

"The 20-year-old defender courted by Real Madrid last summer is becoming a priority track for new Saudi owners."

"Eager to strike a blow during the next transfer windows, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) has let Leicester know that a concrete offer could come in the coming weeks, once the player returns from injury."

 Wesley Fofana is currently out with an Injury which will see him Miss Leicester City games for the rest of 2021. The player is Expected to return in 2022.
