English Premier League clubs Leicester City and Manchester City would go head to head for a chance to Clinch the prestigious 2021 FA Community Shield.

Leicester City, winners of the 2020/2021 FA Cup would challenge League Winners, Manchester City at the Wembley Stadium in England, in a match which could create history for the Foxes. 


The Foxes, would be aiming to break a 50 years Jinx which has seen them wait for their second Ever community shield since 1971 when they last won it after Defeating Liverpool 1-Nil in a game Played in front of 25,104 spectators. 

Leicester City came close to winning FA Community Shield for the second time in 2016 when they won the League title but were beaten by Manchester United by a goal difference, the match ended 2-1. 


Five years later, the Foxes would be looking at Clinching the trophy for the second time ever with the help of two in-form Nigerian players when they meet a Star-studded Manchester City side. 

Nigerian duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho would be looking at replicating their tremendous Form last season when they come against the cityzens. Iheanacho Emerged as Leceister City's top scorer Last season and was very instrumental in their FA Cup run scoring lots of goals Including a brace against Manchester United in the Quarter final of the Competition.
