Manchester City Youngster, Samuel Edozie has come under the spotlight in recent weeks after featuring in all of the Cityzens Pre-season matches ahead of the 2021/2022 Premier League season.

The high flying teenager featured In all of City's Pre-season games and was also on Target in all games, scoring a goal each against lower division teams, Preston, Barnsley and Millwall.

Head Coach of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola was filled with lots of Praises for the teenager for his tremendous Pre-season Outing, describing him as an incredible young player. 


Unsurprisingly, Samuel Edozie was named in the Starting Eleven of Manchester City's team to take on Leicester City in the FA Community Shield Final. The match ended 1-0 in favour of Leicester City. A Goal from Nigerian player, Kelechi Iheanacho was all the Foxes needed to Clinch the Prestigious prize. Edozie was replaced in the Second half by Debutant, Jack Grealish. 




Going deep into Samuel Edozie's Profile, His Full name is Samuel Ikechukwu Edozie and  it is very glaring that the young man has a Nigerian Heritage which could be traced right from his Name "Ikechukwu Edozie" which is associated mainly with the People from the Eastern Part of Nigeria know as the Igbos. It could well be said that His Either or both of his Parents are Nigerians. Edozie was Born on the 28th of January, 2003 in London, England.

Edozie has a dual Citizenship as he is both Nigerian and English. The Young man grew up in England where he was born. 


Edozie's career as a youngster started with Millwall U-18, a team he joined in 2018 before moving to Manchester City a year later, featuring for the Cityzens U-18 after which he was promoted to the U-23 team. Edozie plays as a Right wing attacker for the Cityzens.  

The Youngster Is Also part of the Young three Lions squad of England. He made his Debut for England U-18 on the 29th of March, 2021 in a friendly game against Wales which England won 2-Nil. 

Samuel Edozie is gradually becoming a popular figure back in his Country of Origin, Nigeria and one can never tell What the future holds. The young man May join the Numerous Nigerians Born and Brought up in England who decided to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Senior Level.
