Ahead of the Start of the Prestigious 2020 Tokyo Olympics games, English Premier League Club, Chelsea has decided to go down Memory lane by Listing out players who represented Their Nations in past editions of the Tournament as a Chelsea Player and won Medals.

The Blues via their Official website took time to list out Players who have previously Represented Their Nation at the Tournament, winning a Medal while also playing for Chelsea at the Club Level.

Nigeria's Duo of John Obi Mikel and Celestine Babayaro were one of the Notable inclusion of a Star-studded list. 



Celestine Babayaro, a Former Chelsea player was already a star at the Leftback position for the Nigerian National team at a very young age. He was part of the Unforgettable Nigeria Atlanta 96' squad that won Gold at the Men Olympics Footballing games, beating Argentina 3-2 in the Final. Celestine Babayaro himself was amongst the Goal scorers alongside Daniel Amokachi and Emmanuel Amunike. 

20 years later, another Chelsea Player, John Obi Mikel led the Nigeria super Eagles squad to Brazil where the team came back with a bronze medal after defeating Honduras 2-0 in the Third place match. 


Both Mikel Obi and Celestine Babayaro are no longer playing for the Nigerian National team, but their legacy is still Very much Intact Even at the Club level.
