The Governing body of world football has started investigations on the signing of Ighalo's team mate, Bruno Fernades after a complaint was filed by Former club, Sampdoria.


According to reports from Marca , Sampdoria who sold Fernades to sporting is expected to claim 10% of the transfer fee to Manchester united due to an already established agreement between both parties.




A statement released by FIFA reads:
"Sampdoria has sent a complaint to FIFA against the Portuguese club Sporting club de Portugal, related to the financial obligations placed on the contract corresponding to the transfer of the footballer Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes."




Bruno Fernades moved from Sampdoria to sporting in 2017 and was later signed in 2020 by premier league club, Manchester United. The Portuguese has gone on to feature For Manchester United 9 times, registering 3 goals and 4 assists in all competitions. One of Bruno Fernades' assist was to Nigerian team mate Ighalo in the Europa League which the forward scored an absolute screamer, a goal that earned him the goal of the month award.
