Newly invited Super Eagles Foward, Cyriel Kolawole Dessers has revealed to the media how Fulfilled he feels like playing for Nigeria Ahead of Belgium National team which according to him sparked reactions from the Belgian Angle.

The 25 years old Heracles Forward stated that it feels so special playing for the Super eagles. According to him;

"It's very special for us (himself and Nigerian mother). We've always followed the Nigerian team, I can already sing the national anthem.
"We used to want to go there but there was negative travel advice. Now I'm still going, but in the protected world of football.

"When I got the invitation, I got more reactions from the Belgian angle. It's a pity I'm not going to play for Belgium as I never considered the Red Devils (Belgium national team).
"It's going to be a nice journey (to Nigeria). I just want to wear that shirt and prove myself.


"Nigeria isn't an average country in Africa - but one of the biggest football countries.
"The invitation means a lot to me. There are millions of people in Nigeria, it's really special that they want me for their striker position.
"I have a Nigerian name and I prefer to be called by it, I want to feel the real Nigerian.

"My full name is Cyriel Kolawole Dessers. But call me Kolawole"


Cyriel Dessers has been involved in 20 goals contributions for Heracles in the Belgian top flight this seasonkl. Scoring 15 and setting up 5 in 25 games played. Kolawole Dessers would be hoping to make his Super eagles Debut when Nigeria takes on Sierraleone in the Double legged AFCON Qualifiers on March 23rd and 31st respectively
