We take a look at some of our Promising Nigerian Talent and how they've fared over the Years.

1. NNAMDI ODUAMADI: The former Nigerian striker featured 13 times for the super eagles scoring 4 goals. Oduamadi looks to have cemented a place in the Nigerian team led by late head coach, Stephen Okechukwu keshi but things had gone a different way for the 29 years old.

Nnamdi Oduamadi hasn't been able to live up to his dreams as a professional football player. The Former Ac milan Man has played for ten teams in the lasts ten years, averaging one club per year. Oduamadi Only featured once for Ac Milan with zero competitive goals across seven years in the team. The Pepsi Football academy graduate was a regularly loaned out. 

Nnamdi Oduamadi has played 123 games in ten years for both club and countries scoring only 24 goals which isn't a good record for a striker.
Nnamdi Oduamadi currently plays for Albanian side SkTirana, scoring just once in eleven games.

2. SUNDAY MBA: We've not heard much about the Afcon 2013 Final Hero after his lone goal gifted Nigeria the trophy that year. Sunday Mba looks to have become a forgotten hero. 

The 31 years old has been out of football activities for the past two years, Last featuring for Yeni Malatyaspor in the Turkish League, scoring eight goals in fifty appearances. The Midfielder has been  capped eight  times for the super eagles scoring 5 goals which includes an AFCON Final winning goal. Sunday Mba has played 97 games across two European Nations, Bastia and Malatyaspor scoring 13 goals.

3. MACAULEY CHRISANTUS: After his exploits in the 2007 U-17 world cups  which  earned him the tag as 'Nigerian Messi'. The current 29 years old won the U17 Golden Boot as top scorer, scoring 7 goals in 7 games. Macauley Chrisantus was also awarded the U-I7 silver ball as the Tournament second best player. Things haven't gone as expected for the talented forward who is yet to replicate his U-17 feats with all the clubs he has played for. 

4.GODFREY OBOABONA : The Former sunshine stars of Akure man was a rock solid at the back during his days with the super eagles of Nigeria. The 29 years old currently plays for dinamo Batumi after a move from Gorica where he had 14 appearances to his name in over a year. Oboabona Godfrey also had stint with club sides, Al-Ahli and Çaykur Rizespor. 

Oboabona Godfrey featured 39 times for the Super eagles of Nigeria, scoring once.

5. IMOH EZEKIEL: The 26 years old Nigerian showed glimpses of his potentials during his days at Sporting Liege but has never been able to live up to expectations. Imoh currently plays for Belgian side, K.V Kortrijk having previously featured for other European clubs Like Spanish Las Palmas, Anderlecht and Sporting Liege. 

His Best Moments as a professional footballer came during his days at sporting Liege where he banged 29 goals in 80 Appearances.

6. TAIWO AWONIYI: With the Likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Osimhen making waves with their clubs after their exploits at Fifa Junior Category competitions, Taiwo Awoniyi is finding it difficult reproduce his strikers instinct as seen in the Fifa U-17 World cup where he scored 4 goals in 8 appearances, U-20 championship where he banged 7 goals in 9 appearances. The 22 years old signed for Liverpool immediately after the 2013 U-17 World cup triumph and hasn't played a match for the reds who are in top form this season. Taiwo Awoniyi has been a subject of Loans from one team to another and doesn't look like he will make it into the star studded Liverpool team any moment soon.

Taiwo Awoniyi is currently playing for his Fifth club on loan in four years. Taiwo currently plays for Mainz in the German Bundesliga but has only featured 6 times  scoring no goals of which he had poured out his frustration on his lack of game playing time and he is optimistic of a chance with the Liverpool team. Awoniyi has currently played 89 career games, scoring 32 goals.
